I hit Million dollar networth when I was 31
I did this while working at a movie theater making on average 55k a year
These are the 6 things I did to grow my wealth
1. I stopped listening to family members who said I was wasting time buying ugly houses.
I invested every bonus & every raise right into buying more real estate or improving the real estate I already held. I was at about 6 doors 🚪 at 31. I'm at 18 now.
2. I stayed employed full time through college.
My employer offered tuition reimbursement for 3 classes a semester. This allowed me to go to college debt free. I paid as I went. I made sure to get a B or better in those classes to get reimbursed.
3. I took on a part time job
I worked at Ross - 2 - 3 times a week to eliminate the credit card debt I accumulated in my early 20's. It took a year but I crushed the 17k
4. I side hustled before I even knew what a side hustle was
I started an ebay business flipping merchandise. I helped vendors at the local flea market.
5. I bought a 15$ pack of business cards
I passed them to anyone that would take them. 2 of my absolute best deals came from this. I'm working on door 19 right now and that also came from passing my card to someone
6. I invested like money was burning a hole in my pocket
I lived well below my means. I house hacked. Extra money that didn't hit real estate went to stocks.
My name is Tom, and I invest in real estate, and resell products.
I own 18 doors in Texas and Ohio, and I've retired from my 9-5.
