Inflation, house prices, food prices.... these are the times that being frugal can actually pay off. Being thrifty or frugal in times of recession is indeed a wise choice and everyone can benefit from learning thrifty ways, even those who love to spend in excess.
Here are a few ways through which i have saved money over the years.

Selling your Old Clothes: Of course I am not talking about a yard sale! There are numerous sites on the internet which can help you to sell your old clothes online. Try Poshmark, ThredUP, 5miles, vinted & offerup. These are just a few resale apps. And of course don't forget the classic like eBay.
Track your Expenses: Tracking your expenses can be a really beneficial but a daunting practice to find out where your spending is out of control. Mint.com is effective in tracking your expenses and helping you out in lowering them. Atleast keep track of your expenses for one month! You will be amazed what you actually spend each month
Buying Used Items: Buying used items is somehow looked upon as something that should not be done in the sense that the item might be substandard or defective and yes at times there is a risk involved in this. But there are plenty of online sites from where you can buy fantastic second-hand stuff whether its shoes, clothes or furniture. You can save a lot on Ebay 😊
Collect less sell more: Here’s a general principle that we all need to follow. Have yoy ever went through all the stuff that was in your closet and places you don’t even look at? Well sell all of it, they aren’t even collectibles. Selling unwanted collections which probably include clothes, shoes, electronics and sportswear is a great way to earn some money which ultimately supports your income.Put it in the bank. I highly recommend Sofi
Customer Rewards programs: Believe it or not there are countless programs out there which can benefit you in many ways. There are plenty of retailers out there who are willing to offer you certain perks, rewards and vouchers that can help you save a great deal! Check out Rakuten here!
Write a list before you go shopping: Here’s a little trick that can change your life! Before going shopping whether to the grocery store or buying some clothes, write a list of the things that you want to buy and the allocated money for it ( I make it a game) This is important because it gives you a sense of responsibility and is great way to save in the long-run.
These are just a few ways through which you can save your money and adopting them in your life would be one of the best decisions that you’d ever make. And trust me being frugal is better than living in debt.
