I have unsubcribed from most email list at this point. A few weeks ago after a hour session at the custom cabinet maker a friend and I both agreed a cold drink at Chilli's and some free chip's and salsa were sounding good.
We ended up ordering a meal. 12.99 for a drink, chicken & Broccoli. It actually wasn't awful but nothing to write home about.
The bill came and that's when I was informed the meal I ordered excluded me from getting free chip's and salsa.
I inquired and took the bullshit answer from the server. I paid the extra 4.59 on my bill and promptly unsubcribed from the emails and pledged to not go back. 😑
Two weeks later against my wishes my husband pulled into Olive Garden. This was awesome back in high school. I remember going and getting the 12.99 Tour of Italy and truly loving the atmosphere and food. Fast forward to 20 years later and this just sucked. I got a margarita chicken meal ( the lowest carb) option . Though the meal itself was fine ( I looked beyond the brown lettuce) I was served, the prices for what I received just seemed outlandish.
Our bill for 2 dinners and 1 drink came out to 56.89 before tip. I drank water and the husband had a $4.89 peach 🍑 tea.
As we left we both pledged to no more chain fast casual dining for us.
Shopping local just makes more sense.
